Fish Farming to Enrich Diets

Many people in Zimbabwe are so poor that they cannot afford meat. They eat fish instead. Therefore, fish farms are becoming increasingly popular and growing into a major protein producing industry. So it seemed natural for CCIP Zimbabwe to get involved in providing fish ponds for communities.

Chitakatira Primary School remains the central place for demonstration and promotion of the project. Grade school students are learning  life-saving skills with the help of agricultural related teachers and Maonde Trust personnel.

There is a need to expand this promising project so that more families are reached and hopefully make it sustainable. The market is plentiful; there is need for more ponds!
